Quick question. Does anyone know if the speed ring you use with softboxes for Alien bees (I think Balcar mount) works with this Flashpoint version or the Bowens. I have a few alien bees and don't know if I have to get new softboxes and modifiers or just a new speedring so that I can use them on the Rovelight. Would the Bowen or Flashpoint work better for my alien Bees stuff?

I have both Rovelight and Einsteins. Obviously both are totally different mounts. If your softboxes today have an insert ring, you can always purchase an Bowens mount ring and switch between the two.

Is it possible to modify the flashpoint mount or get a modifier ring?

Good question.

Thanks for the information. Appreciate it. If I got the flashpoint version I would just need to get the flashpoint speedring and that should attach to my softboxes as well? Correct? Also, With my Alienbees I can attach my umbrellas right to the strobe. Does this Rovelight allow the same thing or do I need something special like a mount or something to attach umbrellas to this strobe? I don't see a manual or anything to obtain this information. Sorry for the questions.

Curious about everyone's experience with these as well. Haven't heard much from buyers on here about how they have performed especially with HSS.

These lights are just fantastic for on the go corporate shoots. Here are some from my very first outing with the Rovelight. As you can see, I used just a single Phottix Luna 27" folding beauty dish. Setup time was less than 5 minutes. Very impress with the power and consistency of this strobe.

Did a quick shot yesterday afternoon of my wife and kids using a Phottix Luna with front diffuser on.
