I tried saturating the blue to bring the sky out. I bumped up the blue and purple both to about 30. Any tips on how to improve this?

I don't think you have the overall image quality for a tight crop. Plus you could stand some luminance noise reduction (in LR) which is going to reduce detail as well. You can't really bring out detail that isn't there, so back off on the crop, smooth out the noise, and I think you might be more pleased with the result.

Going to read up on luminance noise reduction. I backed off of the crop but I am trying to avoid some very distracting branches.
