I have the AD-360 flash along with the FT-16 Wireless Trigger. When I place the Ad-360 in High Speed Sync mode, I can no longer make power changes with the remote FT-16 transmitter. Everything works fine in manual mode just not HSS. I have seen videos of others doing this successfully, but just can't make mine work. Any suggestions as to what I might be doing wrong?

Are you trying to lower power below 1/8th when in H mode? H mode only allows power levels to be set between 1/1 and 1/8. This is normal functionality for the 360.

Remote won't change in either direction in HSS Mode. If I manually turn the dial on the Flash to 1/1 and then press up or down on the remote it changes flash to 1/8 and then stays at that setting.

It means that is something wrong with the flash and that it interpreted any change in the power-setting as 1/8 when in HSS.

Try a different FT-16 with the light.

Try clicking off of that channel and clicking back to it. I've found that the FT16 doesn't always solidly lock into place and the selector may be slightly into the adjacent channel.

I tried everything. No luck! Contacted Neewer and they say this transmitter does not support High Speed Sync. Really confused now! Others are doing this with this with the F-16 correct?

You need to have the Godox Cells II or the YN-622C to support HSS.

That the ft-16 does not support HSS has nothing to with not being able to control power setting. I use myself a PocketWizard but you could get a Cells to trigger the flash. You would then just a me have the ft-16 in the hand to set the power.

This is true!! I am willing to bet that the ft-16 is "off" channel. I would try a new channel because as mentioned previously, sometimes the channels do not always lock on..

Happy Shooting:lol:

I figured it out by watching the YouTube video below. What I was doing wrong was I had the 622-C receiver on the flash unit turned on. Once I turned that unit off, it worked perfect in High Speed Sync. I hope this helps someone else with the same issue.

Update. The power was changing with the 622-C receiver off, but the flash wasn't actually firing in High Speed Sync. I powered-up the 622-C receiver and connected to the flash with a PC Sync Cable (same original setup) and now the power is changing and flash is firing in high Sync. Oh well!
