I am trying to calibrate my Sigma 35mm f/1.4. I just downloaded the latest version of the SIGMA Optimization Pro software (version 1.2) onto the in-laws' PC (Windows 7 64), connected my lens to the dock and plugged it in. The software checks for updates and then checks for new lens firmware but prompts me with an error, saying, "Cannot recognize the lens. Please contact your nearest authorized SIGMA".
Any suggestions? I've tried disconnecting the lens from the dock and reconnecting it several times and even tried plugging the dock into various USB ports. Nothing seems to work.
EDIT: I also own the Sigma 18-35mm f/1.8 and just connected it with no issues. It recognizes the lens. I'm wondering if Sigma screwed something up after the last time I sent it off to them?
Grrrr... I'm furious. Guess I have to send it off now
I tried cleaning the contacts and that didn't help so I guess there must be something wrong with the lens.
