hey folks!!

well I got to dark sky country in CO, in a small town called Paonia.

The weapon of choice was a 5D ii with a 16-35L.
This was my first real time actually doing astro work with closer to the right gear.

The PP is all in CS6 with the technique that Kenneth Brandon on YouTube uses.

Some of the town scape shots were really tough...some lights were very orange and others very green,
and while I did mask foreground and background elements for separate editing, the color still looks...wrong...too surreal...too...weird.

Anyway. First shot: question. The galaxy near the center top (and slightly to the right):
Is that M31, Andromeda? My star app was dead because I had no bars. :(
The Left side of the frame is aligned darn near straight north, around 2 am, if that helps.
(The light in the hills is the Bowie Coal Mine)

"Neighborhood at the End of the Universe" -- lot of masks (3+)

Very solid set. Some of the colors seem a bit off in the shots with buildings but I still like them.

Yes, that's M31. It looks like you have a faint smudge in the right place for M33 too.
I like the title "wish upon a 737". Might have to steal that idea. :)

Looks like you definitely got m31 and m33. The 2 bright dots in the middle are the Double Cluster in Perseus.
