What can I do to get the blurred branch out???

Hi All,

What can I do to save a nice series of shots of this chickadee? Do to my excitement, I did not notice the branch inthe foreground and now have many nice shots with the blurry branch. Can anything be done to save them? Feel free to work on the shot if you like (just let me know what you did to get rid of/ hide the branch!!) Thanks very much! I'll keep trying, too...

Since you said it was ok to edit your image, I had a go at the second one.

You should alter the option on your account to allow image editting.

Used clone stamp to remove twig.
Used my velvia script to add tonal range.
Duped layer.
Added curve to brighten.
Added layer mask to allow only brighter version of bird to show.
Framed it with my framer script.

Maybe oversharpened a bit mike, but definatly improving.

[EDIT]: you should explain your technique Mike.

this was done in about two minutes, and as you know there are hundreds of ways to perform it. I didnt go to the trouble of masking it, if I had the result would have been much better. These were all done within the original photo with the cloning stamp and healing brush just taking color from one part of the picture and painting over the limb you wanted removed. Good shot by the way.

How does it look? This was my first time trying the cloning feature. It took a while and much redoing and resaving.

MrE, looks very good. Can't see where the cloning happened at all. Now, with Mickle's excellent toning (minus the oversharpening), it will be the best it can be!
