Now for something completely different - we visited Elma Washington several years ago and we guess that it much have been foggy the whole time because neither of us remember seeing the Nuclear Reactor Cooling towers that are just right out side of town - this reactor was never completed in the 80's and was abandoned (tax dollars at work) -there are several industrial business is the "park" but the towers are still standing as are the incomplete containment units - most recently the area has been used as a film location for the latest transformer picture - we decided that this needed to be shot at night as the milky way should be right over one of the towers - so we set up in a parking lot in the dark and were taking pictures when a security guard ask what were we doing - after we told him he gave us a quick history and did not bother us any more and let us continue shooting - there was too much light to get a good milky way so we moved to another location and got a better shot - then moved again and was rushing to get a shot before the fog moved in and ruined it - but ran out of luck - but here is what we got - Nuclear at Night and one during the day

The sheer size of those things when you're standing at the bottom is astonishing, isn't it? :) Nicely captured.
