Hmm, I wonder what this rumoured D750 will have under the hood. Oh well, still another month to wait...

True D700 replacement:
  • 24MP full frame sensor
  • Tilting LCD screen
  • Wi-Fi support
  • Expeed 4 imaging processor
  • Very light body (probably similar to the D610 and Df, maybe even lighter)
  • Priced around $2,500 (the current Nikon FX camera price points are - D610: $1,896.95 (external link), Df: $2,746.95 (external link), D810: $3,296.95 (external link), D4s: $6,496.95 (external link))
  • Potential announcement at the end of August or early September
  • No idea on the model name - it could be D620, D750 or something completely different
  • The probability rating on this rumor is currently at 70% - I am pretty confident that this camera is coming, I am just not sure about the detailed specifications (if you have any more details, you can contact me anonymously here (external link))

Yeah, I read all that. Not much in the way of details in there, just a hash of speculation

well at least Nikon is consistently releasing updates and listening to its customers. Don't have to wait 3-5 years for an update lol

If Canon tries to up-sell their 7D2 to 2000+ without any significant IQ improvement, this D750 may start to look really good to some people.

Seems like a D610 with a pro-level AF system. In other words, an updated D700.

Why call it the D750, though? Why not D710, to keep it in line with the rest of the Nikon lineup?

The buffer size is a big unknown though, as it always is. If its poor it could ruin the body.

The D810 is plenty fast for me as far as speed goes. I don't ever shoot brides at 12 fps! ;)

On a side note. This camera will probably replace my D4s and D4. If the AF is good like the D810, I won't have the need for a pro DSLR

That's what I'm talkin about! Here's hoping it's accurate and that the buffer is at least big enough for 20 raw frames

Why would you buy the D750 if the D810 is fast enough? The D810 has top-level AF, and the D750 (and also D4s) are mainly trading resolution for additional frame rate.

I shouldn't jump the gun so to speak. I'm excited for Nikon to release the D750 if it comes with 51 point AF. The D810 is what the D800/E should've been. :)

Here's a photog who shot a wedding with the D810. His findings are similar to mine.
