Does flash contain infra red

I am doing a photoshoot with a horse that has an allergy to sunlight, particularly infra red.

Do you think I will be okay using flashlights (600s)

There's most likely parts of the IR spectrum present in flash light as well. But the duration is short.

Are you sure the issue isn't the UV? (IR is essentially heat radiation and is exceptionally hard to avoid. Unless the animal lived in a climate controled dark cave I wouldn't expect one with an issue to IR to survive long.)

Xenon flash will produce a noticeable output of both UV and IR and everything in between, but in very short durations. UV can be filtered for the most part, but controlling IR output would be a lot more tricky.

Talk to the people who handle the animal. If it has a serious issue with lights, then I would hope they have access to the gear to measure the levels of new equipment/inspect existing stuff, and should be able to help you test your kit before hand.
