Adam,, could you explain that a bit better with the cord. Are you guys that are using the cord just triggering one and they all follow suit..im now very confused. also, flash zebras set up. Thanks in advance.

The 622c does not supply the early fire signal through the hot shoe, only through the sync port. The FT16 doesn't have a sync port so you need to mount the FT16 on a hotshoe which has a sync port as seen:

http://flashhavoc.com …dio-trigger-alternatives/ (external link)

If you want to go with this solution a cleaner method is to use the flash zebra mount/cable:

Personally I'm usually just using a variable ND filter so I can avoid the heacdache ;).

Me Too. I use the ND's and I will toss on a cells 11 depending on the ambient.

I thought we were speaking 360 and 180 here! The link is for the 850 and are you testing with the 622N or 622C?

Nikon and 622N does not need and cables or cords with the 180 or 360!!

Happy Shooting:lol:

wish someone had some videos on YT walking people through these different ways to do it with the YN's and the cheetahs. Seems there are a few ways.

It took me a while to get my head around all the options as well. It can be a bit confusing at first.

Basically you can achieve HSS on Canon with 180's and 360's several ways. You can use a CellsIIC (now discontinued) on camera, triggering the remote Godox USB flash receivers. Option 2 for HSS is a YN-622C or 622C-TX on camera triggering 622C's wired via sync cable to each flash.

The third option is where the FlashZebra cable comes in. That involves a 622 on camera to put the camera into HSS mode but instead of triggering the flash units with individual 622C's you just hook one FT-16 to a single remote 622C via the sync cable adapter. The FT-16 receives the early fire signal for HSS from the 622 and then triggers the Godox USB flash receivers just like the CellsII does. The advantage to this comes when you have several Godox flash units and don't want to buy 622's for each of them. If you only have one or two Godox units it may provide little cost advantage. It is the FT-16 that is controlling the flashes in this setup. The 622 is just providing the appropriately timed fire signal. This option also allows you to trigger Godox equipment along with other flash equipment. Something the CellsII can't do.

Just get 1 YN622c and mount it on camera, connect it to FT16 via sync cable and you get the HSS signal. No need to buy another 622c for each strobe.
You can mount the sync cord shoe on top of the YN622c so you dont need a bracket to mount that shoe & FT16

Or, if you buy the YN 622 TX : buy a YN622c, mount the FT16 directly on top of that YN622c and in YN 622TX panel, set the group mode for that receiver to SS (not ETTL, not M) and boom! .. you got the HSS early signal without cable sync. :)

You could just buy a Cells IIC and get HSS.
If you already have the YN622c/TX Cheetahstand sells the CL-TXP with a 3.5mm /1/8 sync jack.

Since this is the Cheetah thread it called the CL-TX instead of the FT-16 ;)

Ah yes, I missed the point that OP only use CL strobe. If that so, yes Cells IIc is enough.

CL-TXP? Argg .. sorry, I only know FT-16 :D
