I'll occasionally hear of people videotaping the opening of a package, or even a seller videotaping the entire process of wrapping up the package, driving to the USPS/FedEx/UPS, and handing it to the carrier. But I've *never* heard of PayPal using this evidence when a dispute arises. (I have read stories where this evidence existed but PayPal had no interest in it.)
Has anyone ever had eBay / PayPal use this type of evidence in a dispute?
People get pretty "shifty" when they scam. Example: I buy a 7D from you with a 400L. You ship it to me and The day it arrives I file a claim. You agree to refund me if I return the package. I send you a package back. You get it. I have a return receipt which I post to Pay Pal. Pay Pal refunds me my money.
You do NOT have a witness, nor do you bother with video taping the opening of the returned package - you just rip the box open - only to discover a brick in the camera box and two in the lens box.
Good luck getting Pay Pal to believe that you DIDN'T get your camera and lens back!! The paperwork is all in ORDER and as far as the POST OFFICE, PAY PAL and I am concerned - you DID.
Upset? Go ahead and raise Cain - won't do you any good - you have NO PROOF of anything - AND it makes YOU look like a scammer the harder and louder you are!! LOL!!
BTW - I doubt very seriously Pay Pal will CONFIRM that this happens, but if you just do a LITTLE research on PP woes and scams I feel very confident this might crop up as one of the better high dollar scams out there.
