So we were heading to the Mall of America (MN) from SE WI and we took the scenic route # 61 along the Mississippi River heading north from Lacrosse,WI. I kept my camera between my legs while driving along ROUTE 61 by the Mississippi River. We made a left turn heading west of MN and all we could see were flat cornfield and few hills along the way, then 30 MILES after, I made a sharp left turn along a flat country road and quickly saw this view while turning . Quickly grabbed the camera and instinctively took this picture at 55+ MPH. :o

I really felt bad since I could not remember this exact road. I did search it on Google map , but no success at all. I went back and check this picture from the camera and verified the time on the picture and it was 15 minutes away to Sumbrota, MN. I believe this stretch of road is somewhere along SE Subrota, MN area.

Nice image.

Please say you were a passenger rather than the driver and it only looks like the view from front left.

Thanks!

I never talk on the cellphone when i drive nor txt, but this time I did use a compact Sony Nex5 with a pancake 16mm lens. I felt like the road is pretty empty and the Nex5 LCD screen is pretty big to see the view. One hand operation and never in a sec. I looked away from the road ahead. It is actually safer than looking at the GPS screen , which keep your eyes away from the road in a few sec. If you have a DSLR, i do not think it it safe. (Just the size alone to hold it is a PITA)

It's an import from Europe where the driver sits on the right ;)

I am glad you guys like the picture. The road is hidden somewhere in SE MN and it is less traveled road as you can see in the picture. I am happy I got it in photo. =)
