Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | Aug 28, 2014 09:54 | #7 Not sure why people feel the urge to edit each other's photos in this subforum (which I think is more about sharing than it is about asking for critique/suggestions), especially if it was not asked for. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.

Aug 31, 2014 18:57 | #9 Looking at the full size version on flickr I can see why you you like this shot but aren't happy with the lens. Is it possible that the focus is off just a bit? The foreground grass seems slightly sharper than the subject. George

Zooming in at 105mm and at f4, it does create decent bokeh, but I still prefer my primes with f1.4. 24-105 is my go-to lens for indoor studio shots when I'm shooting at closed apertures as it still creates sharp images. The IS is also a big plus over the primes. Gear List (5D3, 70-200 f2.8L IS II, Sigma 85mm f1.4, Sigma 35mm f1.4, 50 f1.8, 24-105L, Alien Bee lights, etc etc)

Nathan Can you repeat the question, please? More info | Sep 04, 2014 18:54 | #11 So what focal length was this shot at? At 105, you could get some decent bokeh. Taking photos with a fancy camera does not make me a photographer.
