I think I already know the answer to this but I'm going to ask it anyway....

Does anyone use more than one logo? If you do, what was your reasoning? I'm just trying to decided whether or not I want to use a different logo. I love my logo right now, it really speaks to who I am...and I would probably keep it as my main logo but I'm thinking about using a different one on my website. What's your guys' opinion?

By the way, here's my current logo if anyone is interested...

It already looks like your current logo can be separated out to two logos from time to time if necessary by using either the "A. Rivas" or the shield alone by itself.

I do have a version of it with only the shield and wings. I'm contemplating branching out into the "childrens photography" realm (there's a big market for that here) which is why I started thinking about using a second logo to appeal to that market.

Here's what my "mini logo" looks like. I haven't tried the logo without the wings yet though. I may give that a shot when I get home.

Mini version looks better imo.

Why not create a different brand for your new type of photography?

That's what I'm thinking of doing with a second logo, something a little more...appealing to that new market. Just looking for thoughts on using 2 different logos.

If you create a different brand for your new "kid photography" then you wont have two logos, you will have one for each business.

I like your second logo. First one has too many fonts and don't connect together very well.

You can always have more than one logo. Typically, you have different versions of your logo handy for different applications.... logo, logotype, just the type, etc.
Actually, I should say more than one version of the SAME logo.

Here's what my "mini logo" looks like.

All I see is A2 PHOTOGRAPHY with disturbingly uneven spacing between the horizontal elements.

That's my thought on it too. I'm not there yet, but I intend to have 3 different brands in the beginning, to maximise my chances of getting regular work. If one does better than the rest, or my photography ends up being noticeably better in one discipline, I'll probably let the others go..

So I played around a little this afternoon and came up with this concept. I like the direction this one is going but I'd like to get outside unbiased opinions.

In my opinion, it looks like there is too much going on in your logo ^ (new one)

It just doesn't flow to me.

I think you can use a better font than the one for "ivas"; I don't like the "photography" font either; too many different fonts & sizes going on. Also, I do not like the decorative swirly thing.

I know there are a lot of "I don't likes" in this post, but that will give you an honest opinion, (at least from 1 person's point of view)

The original logo —the one with the wings— was cool. The new one looks like that of a brand of lingerie or something with that filigree.
