Can you use an Avenger D600 boom on Matthews Hollywood Century C stand? Is the fit at the connection point "spigot" good or should you match Avenger booms with Avenger stands and Matthews booms with Matthews stands?

Some are 5/8th inch while some are 16mm - only 1/8th mm difference nominally. However, factor in machining errors and you may just find that some spigots are a tad tight in the "matching" sockets. I haven't found any pattern to this so it's not a matter of XYZ-brand spigot doesn't fit into ABC-brand socket. Phil ǁ Kershaw Soho Reflex: 4¼" Ross Xpres, 6½" Aldis, Super XX/ABC Pyro in 24 DDS, HP3/Meritol Metol in RFH, Johnson 'Scales' brand flash powder. Kodak Duo Six-20/Verichrome Pan. Other odd bits over the decades, simply to get the job done - not merely to polish and brag about cos I'm too mean to buy the polish!
