Question about photo detail

I've seen some pretty incredible weather photos lately coming in from facebook. I've been a intermediate photographer for about 10 years now. Attached is a photo recently taken in Arizona during monsoon season. This photo just looks amazing to me. It looks to me like it's been heavily edited with some kinda software. Not sure what but was just curious what all you think? I would love to get my desert landscape photos to look like this one. Any ideas? Thanks for any feedback.

I'd guess the original photographer shot multiple exposures and blended with HDR or similar.

First up it's against forum rules to attach other peoples photos to your post, it's a copyright violation. Suggest you take it down and link to it.

To answer your question that photo appears to have been heavily post processed. Probably a bunch in raw, shadows and highlights, and a lot of sharpening. It would've been a great capture originally of course.

It looks like a single exposure run through an HDR-like filter or application to wildly boost local contrast and saturation and decrease global contrast.
