Though he was big, and just floating in circles just like the Turkey Vultures do all the time!

And then Junior appeared too!

These were taken from my deck!

Just before this I was listening to a bird that sounded just like a mechanic's air tools...that's right...a Belted Kingfisher flew by me! No picture, he flew way too fast! No water where I live, but Eagles, a Kingfisher, and a Great Blue Heron...all in the same day!

A Great Blue Heron standing on the pit. I won't say what kind of pit it is!

And hunting in the tall grass...

He has been hanging out for quite a few days.

Thank you Carol. I forgot the reason I went outside with my camera in the first place...to get shots of what appeared to be a Yellow Bellied Sapsucker, who was preening on top of the light pole. I will share photos later for confirmation!

Thank you Eric. The Heron has been hanging out for quite a few days, though it is still hard to get close to him.

Thank you! I wish the Eagles had been closer to the ground. Shooting up like that was really challenging for me.

Thank you everyone. The Heron is still hanging around, but no time for photos today!
