What a let-down...I spent half an hour in the garden at lunchtime and there was virtually no wildlife at all to be found! No lions or tigers, no bears, not even a large elk!

I did find a bee, though, and followed her round for a while, but she wouldn't sign a release form or even pose for me !

So I grabbed this shot and went back to work!:(

Ricardo222, Ahh... but a beautiful grab it was!

Thanks and I have no idea since the sun glare almost had me blinded with my P&S.

Yes, lovely shot of the fawns Sibil. They are a species not familiar to me. Those huge ears...are they mule deer?

I'm not having the best of luck when it comes to having my subject and camera at the same time but am glad to have missed the skunk with both camera and ATV tire while chasing a calf. Skunks will evidently tolerate quite a bit as I missed this one by only a foot and the calf was about 3 feet on the other side, the skunk just kept trying to get away, never sprayed at all.
So later in the day I found this Whitetail Doe and took several shots before she went back into the thick timber.

My early morning Rabbit proves that high ISO of 2500 might be a bit much for my rig, light rain didn't help either.

So I go down to a nearby lake for a sure thing - ducks. Ducks that hang out on the shore of a local lake just 100 feet from the parking lot. No problem, I can do this on the way back from the grocery store.
So I get there, and where are all the ducks this evening? You guessed it...

On the other side of the lake with the fly fisherman. grrrr!

You are so lucky having deer in close proximity...great shots Steve!
Not so lucky having skunks around though...I only ever saw one in the US that I can remember.

Hey Tim...ain't that just nature! So often perverse when the camera comes out!

I know I've posted pictures of Tuis on this thread before, but as this topic is wildlife I thought it would be okay to post this from yesterday. Not only is he wildlife, but with that red eye he looks kind of wild too!

Wow, Ricardo - how did you get the star in the Tuis's eye - very cool photo. Love all the deer pics (the twins are adorable). My wildlife was less than cooperative - went looking for deer, but none appeared until after dark but I did find an area where it appears a family of American kestrels are hanging out - so I'll be back after work to see if they will be more cooperative in better light. Although I can't promise any twinkling eyes.

So I spent a little time around the house, before going to work, to see what I can find. Found a deer, and a bird. My first bird shot try wasn't very good.
