This is one of several sparrows that have been roosting under the overhang of my barn. I had been out late shooting macro when I saw him, so I just used my Canon 100L macro lens and a homemade diffuser to catch him.

Nice shots and it looks like you got quite close! These house sparrows can be pests and will destroy the nests of many native birds here.
