From 2013...we got to watch this 1st year Red-tailed Hawk grow and molt in it's red tail feathers.

From this evening....one of the second set of Bluebird fledglings from the nestbox in my backyard.

From 2009....original female from the eagle's nest I used to follow. She was stuck and killed by a plane during the 2011 nesting season.

From last week.....one of the first set of Bluebird fledglings from the nestbox inmy backyard.

From 2013...a 1st year Red-tailed Hawk close to my home. I photographed it for about a month until it moved on.

Just a funny one from this evening....Mourning Dove "fluff".

From 2013...the male eagle from the nest I used to follow. They have since moved to private property (not confirmed by me yet) and hopefully they'll be left alone by the USDA-WS and actually nest this year.

The whole set is fantastic! I enjoyed the whole set. I love the young bluebirds. My bluebird couple nested twice here this summer. The 2nd nest fledged 5 days ago. The parents always some to my feeder and then fly away with food for the fledglings. I am still waiting to see if the youngsters eventually are brought to the feeder.

A brilliant set of captures Duane, shame about the plane killing the female eagle though.

They will eventually bring the fledglings to the feeder. Mine do it after about 2-3 weeks. It takes the youngsters a few days to figure out the feeder but the feeding shots are worth it.

What a great variety. Loved them all, but the Mourning Dove certainly did make me laugh!
