Black-throated Green & Magnolia Warblers

Yesterday, briefly, we had a ten-species 'wave' of mostly warblers pass through the yard. We've had a couple minor ones earlier, but this was significant. I hadn't seen a Tennessee warbler yet this year and suddenly the yard was full of them. I'd sure like to understand the what for and why behind these multi-species migration events. Here are two of the participants, a black-throated green and a magnolia.

So pretty. I have had quite a few warblers too, but haven't gotten any shots worthy of sharing.

Very nice... the last wave I saw come through was about a week back, it's been fairly quiet since then.
