I baited up a few pink flowers with a honey solution this afternoon (50% honey, 50% water) and placed droplets of the nectar onto a few pink flowers in the corner of the garden. I used a blunt ended syringe to place the nectar droplets, which remained intact in liquid balls for quite some time.

Absolutely gorgeous shots! I'm going to have to try that mixture sometime. Unfortunately, flowers are few in my yard this time of year.

Wonderful set, George. The honeybee portrait is my favorite here.

Worked really well, perfect lighting. Is the background artificial?

Yep, 'studio' type shots. I took a picture of a leaf, printed it out to A5 and placed it about 3-4 inches behind the flower. These flowers are in a corner of my garden and at a height which allowed me to shoot sitting down on one of my garden chairs, much more comfortable than kneeling down on the cotswold stone chippings. :D
