For the full-timers, specifically wedding and/or portrait folks: What's your budget for advertising and/or marketing? What did you start with and how has it changed? Where are you spending your $ and what sort of ROI are you getting? Any that have totally flopped?

Also, do you have a set percentage that you set aside for future equipment purchases?

How about any other line items that you plan for?

I appreciate any input you're willing to share.

To Be honest, We find direct e-mailing, using Facebook, word of mouth and networking sites work the best..

The stuff we found to be a waste of time is mainly paid promotions from Facebook.... Regardless of how you target, it seems to just send out to a somewhat "click farm" audience judging by who engages with paid vs organic..

Thanks. Do you have a specific budget?

Last year spend was 1.5 - 2% of turnover.

One online directory and the rest on facebook promoted posts/ads. Online directory is for SEO reasons only. Facebook promoted posts/ads return about $10,000 worth of orders for every $100-$150 spend

For every

Are you getting pretty specific with your audience for those ads? Are you paying for impressions or clicks?
