A final bit of info on this saga; I just received three invoices from TNT for the duty:-(

So my hopes that I had got away with it were short lived. However the total amounts to £30 per light so it's not a major blow.

This brings the total to just over £900 for all three. Still a bargain as far as I'm concerned:-)

I have now tried them out a few times and the y are brilliant. Definitely recommended.

Hi guys

I'm new to this forum and I know the last post on this thread is 4months old now but I am also experiencing issues with my newly-bought RS600P (it arrived today) and as the instructions are pretty sparse, I'm wondering if anybody here can help.
I unpacked it, put the battery unit straight on charge (the charger said it had 50% already) and waited until it was fully charged, which took about an hour.
So then I clicked the command unit onto the battery and proceeded to press and hold the power button.
Nothing.
Not even the little red LED that, by the looks of other people's videos on YouTube, should come on as soon as the two halves are connected - regardless of whether the unit has actually been switched on or not.
I've read the limited instructions multiple times now and they're no help at all. Have I simply missed something? Is there some "special" thing you must do the first time you turn the unit on - like remove a contact-blocking cover somewhere?
I mean, the instructions don't even specify which way round the top and bottom halves should be facing in relation to each other when you connect them, or if that even matters since the connections seem identical either way around! From images and videos I've seen, I'm pretty sure I had them the right way round first time and I've tried both ways since but still nothing - no matter how long I hold the power button down for, or which peripherals I have plugged into the unit at the time of pressing, ie flash head and/or USB trigger module.
I've messaged the seller describing this and asking for advice but heard nothing back yet, although it was only 6hrs ago to be fair. I've tried everything short of taking the fuse out and checking that, but that wasn't for lack of trying - that thing's near impossible to remove!
Has anybody here had any similar issues to this, if this is indeed an issue? If so, was there a solution? Or am I just best to see what the supplier has to say?
The model is the XExpert version and was from an eBay seller in Hong Kong who shipped to me (UK) via DHL international so it arrived really quickly - 4 days!
Thanks in advance for reading and for any help/advice you may possibly give.

Sam.
