I'd have pictures of a lot more hummingbirds today if it wasn't for this male Anna's. He chases all others from the yard
They fly through, but don't get a chance to stop.
5DIII + 70-200 f/4L IS. In-flight pics are from about 4'. The perched from about 6'.
1. His head/neck feathers aren't as bright as most other Anna's; his are more orangeish with kind of a dusky patina. Maybe it's time for a good molt.

5. This young male Costa's is the only other I managed to get today. The bully must have been away for a few minutes.
