Sweat Bee of sorts I think. It was quite a bit larger than the normal sweat bees we get in our garden. Think it's definitely from the Halictidae family. Has a little white "nose".

Bit soft on the eyes but this one is definitely a sweat bee - it was on the potentilla which is the give away.

Thank you all for your kind words. Must admit Brian, I did a 180deg. rotation on #8 but it looked weird to me. I think it's a psychological thing because when you've taken the shot in that particular orientation, anything else messes with your mind a bit (unless I'm having a weird moment hehe)... but you're right it really should be flipped :)
