First attempt at the Milky Way

MY first attempt at the milky way. I had difficulty with my tripod head trying to get the camera angle just right. A manfrotto 405 geared head, great for landscapes, not very good for astro stuff. I found I was adjusting the tripod legs to get the angle i needed.

Canon 5D III, 400D, Canon 24-70 F2.8 L, Canon 16-35 F4 L IS USM, Canon 70-200 F4 L, Manfrotto 405 Pro geared head.

for this specific shot what lens and camera settings did you use ?
