Here are a couple more of the Spoonbill in it's natural habitat feeding . Images not so good . These were taken with a 70-200mm f/4L at about 50-75 yards and pictures cropped and resized . In the first image there was another visitor I was not aware of until I started editing the images and saw the little fellow on the right in hiding . Not sure exactly what he is but i'll post another Topic for that one .

I'd say pretty good with the gear you had! The second guy looks like a Tricolored Heron.

Thanks for the comments everyone ! Times like this I wish I had one of those 500mm f/4L lens or even yet that 400mm f/5.6L . But they are just too far out of my pocket book :( . I even still use a Xsi . Not sure if and when i'll ever update the camera . But I still really like that 70-200mm f/4L . When in proper range they are great lens !
