I feel like these images have so much potential, but they are missing something.

The first one doesn't seem to have anything 'basically' wrong with it, but just doesn't 'capture' me the way it should. You obviously know how to focus a camera, but it seems a bit soft. NCSA197 Goldmember More info | Sep 07, 2014 07:08 | #6 Something I would not have thought about when taking this photo (#1 and the edit), but would like to see(hindsight): there appears to be a viewing/observation vantage point in the lower right, near the small tree or bush. A person or a couple standing here (brightly colored jacket or similar) might add something.
