On a REALLY windy day. The Northern Harrier male was having trouble with the wind gusts, but not as much trouble as me standing on the side of the highway trying to handhold the camera and track him over the fields. The Kingbird-on-a-wire was much easier....he just sat there ;)

Couple of very nice shots !

I noticed you have "copyright" added to your name . Looks like this is a PS Text , correct ? Just a hint instead of writing "Copyright" out just follow this procedure , makes it look better if you care to make it shorter . Choose "Text/place cursor on image/hold alt key down and type 0169 and release the alt key and tap the space bar and type your name . Do this next time you add your signature to an image and if you don't like it then go back and do it the way you always have .

Thanks for the comments. I know you can do that in PS, but this is a Lightroom watermark....I'll check and see if that works there too, I've never tried.

Two fine shots there Ian. The Harrier is a species we have here, similar anyway, but a very rare sight (I've never seen one)

Thanks Mark. For some reason, the male almost has mystical qualities here and is rarer and tougher to find. Females, predominantly brown colours, seem more ubiquitous.

Two very nice shots Ian. Sounds like the Harrier was a challenge, but you did great. My turn next on the Harrier!

Thanks Sandy. The Harrier was really fighting the buffeting winds, going from field to field down the highway, it was a challenge for sure. It was a treat and a surprise to see him just down the road from where I live. Now I'll wait for yours!

I think I saw a Harrier, but I was riding my horse at the time!
