Thank you I agree. I was shooting at 560mm, 100-400mm plus 1.4x tc. That is how the tail got cut off. I ahve a 7D and a Kenko TC. You need to use outer focus points to get reliable focus at f8. There were a lot of birds in the little grove where I took the shots. The birds were very hungry and quickly ignored me when I stayed in one place.
