Trying to add some different lighting set-ups to my repertoire. Would love to know peoples' opinions.

Thanks in advance.

Silhouettes on white/grey are awesome ways to express emotion. Good choice there. On black, you need a lot more rim lighting otherwise your subject gets totally lost like in the last photo. I'd also say that if you're going to be shooting on black, you shouldn't get rid of all of the detail in your subject. A blank background and a blank subject is really a lot of negative space. Bring some fill light onto their face or something.
