Nice shot too but Yes I understand what your saying also . I have tried in the past to bring out those same details with the natural brightness of the moon . That was my goal and perhaps someday I will get that chance . Thing is it's very hard to get perfect focus through a large aperture scope when shooting the moon without a moon filter

Good exposure without over brightness , very good detail without over-sharpening like many do . Good example here . Also a HINT if you like to bring colors out on the moon this would be a very good sample to do that with , just i wouldn't go crazy and over-do the colors . Thanks for posting .
