I had the opportunity yesterday to sit down and chat with Santiago Cirilo, an up and coming actor from Puerto Rico and Ohio (but now based in Nashville).
He played a character named Julio on season four of The Walking Dead. Unfortunately, he only made it through three episodes before getting shot in the back. However, that doesn't necessarily mean much on that show, because nobody finished him off. This means he is either up and walking or up and WALKING, so-to-speak.
Some fans are asking the show's producers to bring him back. I hope they do.
Now here's the cool part: The guy grew up in a large, poor family and struggled most of his life. Acting came late for him (professionally). His first act was to join the U.S. military and worked in special ops for six years, earning medals along the way.
Then he went to work at Gibson Guitars and a year later he was a master guitar maker for Lenny Kravitz and Keith Urban.
The guy really puts 110% into everything he does, and now he acts. I hope he finds a lot of success in this career, too.
Yesterday, here in Georgia, I sat down with him and we chatted about TV, family, food, and more. He has a lot of energy and personality. A lot of fun to talk with. Then I took a few photos and processed them in a way that I like. He enjoyed receiving the photos.
