Just a few from a recent engagement. Delivered them to the client today and am shooting their wedding later this year. The groom is a bit uptight so i will have to work with him a bit to loosen him up.

C&C always welcome

I really like them overall. #4 would be my favorite if choosing one.

#3 I don't like though. It may be more her choice of clothing than your photo, but it is just not an attractive picture of her. It looks like she is slouching a bit, causing her rolls (how do I say that nicely???) to really spill out. If you could have gotten her to stand up straighter, and maybe put her right hand on her hip with elbow out to the side, it would have been a more flattering photo.

Ya - i loved the way the shot itself turned out for #3, but i do agree with the outfit choice which was a bit of a bummer when i was going through the pics and editing them. Thanks for the kind words though!

I try to have clients avoid white and sleeveless tops. But you have to work with what you're given.

#1 - good, but the white shirt directs the eyes there first.
#2 - white shirt is acceptable, it's not overly bright
#3 - sleeveless top exposes the arms, maybe could have different body position like facing each other
#4 - I like it. Maybe have them lean heads together. the cityscape is a bit blown out. Easily fixed with a little fill flash next time.

Continue with the good work.

1-Good connection between the couple. I'm not liking the odd light skimming across their faces though--his forehead looks pretty hot, e.g.

2-This is subjective and not exactly critique, but this photo seems very pose-y and odd. Putting the gent up high makes him tower over her; the bending at the waist to kiss her seems to suggest a goofy tone, but the rest seems so earnest. On the plus side, she looks great here.

3-I don't think this one works at all--it looks lazily taken without thought about the background, about their positioning; and the power in the shot, if there is any, is reserved to a tiny portion where their hands meet. Pushing in a lot closer would have made a far better image in my opinion. This feels like a pull-back shot for documenting purposes of the photo you intended to take.

4-Your exposure choice and focal plane placement urges us to take the couple as the subjects of the photo. The problem is that most of us will find the landscape more interesting than the backs of people's heads. When our eye goes to that cityscape and finds it is OOF and overexposed a smidge--well, it's unexpected. I'd have preferred the shot had the background been in focus and the couple allowed to be presented a stop 'underexposed' for the benefit of the background.

1 and 4 work for me. 4 would be my favorite. Number 3 I would loose that one. Not flattering at all for her, I promise you she is not going to like it. I did not even notice the hart until after looking a little longer. Good idea, but maybe a tight crop on the hands would be nice. 2 looks fun but out of place, I did not get the feeling he was relaxed and enjoying the pose.

Just my thought on that. I really do like number 4 though, very warm and loving.

Why don't you take a picture, it will last longer....

I Like them all, though 3 is my least favorite.
