The first to greet you in the morning, the last to see you at night. More than a pet, they are family. We all share in your loss, Brad. God bless you, and God bless Hunter.

All I want is just a little more than I'll ever have.

Beautiful tribute, brought tears to my eyes. So very true and touching. I have four labs and have yet to lose one... my oldest is going to be 11 in March. They are such wonderful animals, they make our lives so much richer and teach us so much. I am certain Hunter was grateful for what you gave to him...especially allowing him to retrieve those birds, not much more that they enjoy than what they are bred to do.

Hi,

Terribly sad to hear of your loss.

My only condolence is that he surely knew he was loved and appreciated. Who of us could ask for more, Man or Beast.

He'll be in your heart forever, and the pictures you have of him become just a little more special now.

Rest easy Hunter.

So very sorry for your loss, if only they could live forever! Looks like you gave your Hunter a wonderful life and he in return has given you many memories to hold onto.

I bet he's up there right now on Rainbow Bridge just eye balling those geese.

Sorry to hear this, I just had to put my lab Rex down on Monday, he had a lot of health issues so, he's in a better place now but, it was the hardest thing I've ever done.

I'm sorry for your loss. I know the feeling all too well, as have others, having gone through the same thing with our beloved German Shorthair. The wife and I had her way before the kids too. Only you will know when the time is right for another companion. Until then take your time to reflect and grieve at your pace.

I'm so sorry. I'm tearing up to your story. It's never easy losing a dog who is your child. I miss my little girl and I wish these "animals" could live until they're 70.

Great story; you will cherish him forever. We have been through several dogs over the past 30 years and it is never easy to lose them.

Life is hard...but I just take it one photograph at a time.
