Hallo everybody!
I'd like to have this photo of Istanbul printed but I wanted a black and white version of it.
This is the original
and this is my conversion to B&W:
What do you think of both? Is the B&W version worth a print?
thank you

"Not in register" means that the images don't line line up. If you don't see that, it could be a problem with my download. FrankC - 20D, RAW, Manual everything...

I did notice that it's a AdobeRGB file, while it's best for most people to view if it's sRGB. AdobeRGB is a larger color space than sRGB & useful for editing in PS, but it shouldn't be used for web images. Adobe RGB images will appear dull and washed out in a non color managed application like old versions of Internet Explorer. http://www.cambridgeincolour.com …als/sRGB-AdobeRGB1998.htm [ HOSTED PHOTO DISPLAY FAILED: ATTACH id 695128 does not exist. ] Definitely your download, no probs here. I like the color version better, nice warm light. I disagree about cropping the bridge out, sort of but not quite a leading line, but it does add another element of interest to the photo. I do think you should hack out some of the sky, it's all uniform so more of it does not add to the shot.
