IMO, they appear to be over-processed, or maybe as a result of over-compressed. eg: over-sharpens(halo effect) and over-contrast. I don't know if you have other shots that are differ, but try not to overshoot too much tight shot. While yes, we shoot sport mostly with telephoto, but you may want to include some wider angle shots also. Not all sport picture have to be action pictures also. Capture the expression of the player after he shot a goal or missed a goal sometime is better than the shot of making the goal itself. Don't we all see this type of shot all the time in tennis? While today dSLR are generally done a good job at AWB, but if you know you are going to shoot in a good lighting day on the outdoor open field, just turn that AWB over to daylight and it's just one less thing you have to worry about in post-process, because the WB would already be consistent.
