It is me eating a heaping plate of not-so-tasty crow. I did not believe Canon would ever field a 7DII. At times, I was quite adamant and vociferous about the matter. If it matters one iota, I am happy for all of you who have been anxiously awaiting its release. Congratulations. Enjoy your new camera.

Now can I get a 6DII with 1/8000 and 1/250 sync speed, please?

Don't worry, you have lots of people to help you eat your heaping plate. :)

I don't even want to start posting all the members that have been posting against the 7D2 since the rumors surfaced in April or so. Anybody that followed the drama of the 50D split into the 60D and 7D knew that Canon would have to continue down the new model line. They probably wanted to make sure they had all the 7D and 70D issues addressed before issuing the 7D2.

Thanks. Pass the ketchup, please. This stuff is dry.

Should be more greasy than dry, I think some blue jay au jois would help. Gotta watch the temperature on the grill when cooking crow, they catch fire easily.

I was going to wait until the actual announcement before going back and finding all the people who will be dining on nothing but crow, humble pie and their own hats for the next couple of weeks.

I thought the thing on PriceWatch was as good as official. I'll wait for a Canon announcement.

Here in the UK, Crows (as well as being birds) are little Bogeys, the things that come from up your nose. I'd love to see someone eating them. Can we see the evidence please? Seriously, though, the 7D has been around sooooooo long, an update was well over due. Canon has missed a trick by not going with a higher MP count than 20.2. Nikon and Sony have higher MP cameras.

Ok, it is now official. I was wrong. The 7DII does exist. Back to my plate of crow.

CRCchemist should be at that table with you, helping to put all that crow down. :)

You are probably all done now though.

Thanks. Lots of folks should at least stop by for a bite. The anti-7D2 rhetoric gets a bit heated, at times.

By late next week, the critics will be telling all of us how lousy it is, well before anyone has seen actual results from a production model. I've seen this movie before. My best to all fans of the 7D and/or 7D2.

I think some are winding up quite well already.
