Accessing SFW photo files -- Computers in photography-on-the.net forums

I have a dozen 3" floppies and about 25 CDs from Seattle FilmWorks with pre-2000 family photos on them. They are PC-formatted discs. My Macs (iMac and MacBook Pro) won't open them. Neither will my wife's Windows machine. The Windows message tells that the floppy disks need to be formatted - not good.

Seattle FilmWorks went under about 2000.

Has anyone dealt with this problem before, with Seattle FilmWorks photo files? Is there anything for software that i can use on the PC to access the photo files? Are there services around that can recover them for me?
