That said, the 1Dx is just about the least critical test of sharpness out there, die to its low pixel density. Even the 120-300 with 2x TC looks sharp on a 1Dx.

For a more criticsl acid test of sharpness, I'd like to see it tested on a Nikon/Sony 24MP crop body, as well as a D800/810 for corner sharpness, and compared with other lenses.

Everything I've seen is on a Canon body. I've had the Nikon mount on order since it was announced, I'll put it on a d800 when it shows up.
