this time of year (early fall). Have a weekend to take a short trip coming up. Most places around here haven't had many birds at all lately. Would hope to see some migrants at some spot.

Archibald You must be quackers! More info | Sep 14, 2014 21:24 | #5 I'd be real interested in any opinions about the places listed below in central Florida for bird photography. These places are all relatively less known, I think. They are roughly between Winter Haven and Ft Pierce.
If I've overlooked a good location in this area, I would appreciate knowing about it. I already know about many if not most of the places in the Everglades and along the Atlantic and Gulf. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F

Thanks for the suggestion. I just went there and had a look. It is quite an amazing site reporting the prevalence of a species for a year. Is there a way of getting info on specific locations? Yes go to explore data and open hotspots. Then select major hotspots. Or if you know county put in explore a region and will show info for county. Down the right side will list hotspots. Hope this helps Confused and Prone to Wander.........

Under Explore Hotspots, I noted that downtown Miami is a hotspot. I also found the "Top hotspots by species" for Florida. A list of 10 places was given. No indication of where these places are, so I had to enter them one by one into Google Maps. Many are in N Fla where I won't be. It's not easy to find birding hotspots! Anyway, I noticed Bill Baggs Cape SP on Key Biscayne, and that might have potential. Canon R5 and R7, assorted Canon lenses, Sony RX100, Pentax Spotmatic F
