Another couple from yesterday's 'wave', a male American redstart and a northern parula warbler.

Thanks, Ted. I can assure you it is a northern parula; female redstarts are patterned much like the males, except instead of black and orange, they feature gray and yellow.

Hi Ted, Nice capture. I love both shots. I am a new birder. I went to the field strip with Atlanta Audubon Society last weekend. I have heard the name several times but never have a clear view of them. You had them on the camera in such clarity. WOW!!

Both are gorgeous Al, and even though you've shown us others of these 2 that Redstart image is a real standout. The background looks like a mottled studio backdrop and really allows his black to shine. BTW - you did a wonderful job with his blacks too.
