Hi all.
I haven't had time to shoot pics or be on this site much lately. I pop in and leave a comment when I can.
Well, the other night I got my first full body shots of a Western Screech Owl. It was in the tree in my backyard.

Good for you, Jeremy, and great shots. How you find these owls in the dark is beyond me.

Thanks everyone.
These guys are much harder to find than the Elf Owls that
winter here. But this one was calling right outside my back door
around 1am so I grabbed the camera, threw the flash on and got a few pics.

I shot probably 10 pics then left him alone. He never flew. I checked back a few min later and he was
eating something. I didn't want to bother him again.

"MY, what big eyes you have!" Off the chart, Jer. I have never got a pix of an owl, so envious:).

Great captures Jeremy, the 7D used with capable hands is still an amazing camera.

Absolutely awesome Jeremy!
He must have been very intent on something if the flash didn't faze him, and I'm amazed the autofocus assist didn't scare him off either. Those are crystal clear captures too and well worth your late evening/early morning efforts. Very impressive!
