I read an article that dual pixel will work to F11. So it's a good photography tool also.

I can take a 100-400 and slam a 2x on there and have an 800mm F11 and it still focus in live view.

(2008) 5D II launch price: $2699. 2012 Dollars $2878.15
(2012) 5D III launch price: $3499

Canon really priced out a premium for the AF system of the 5dmkIII.

(2009) 7D launch price: $1699. 2014 dollars $1886.79
(2014) 7D II launch price: $1799

Basically you get a discount of under $100 for a better camera. Remarkable price point. Rarely when you adjust for inflation is the new price lower.

I feel since the body is essentially the same maybe they have a good supply of them?... making them cheaper type thing. If they are the same core body.

Also consider the jump from 5d2 to 5d3 was a big jump and the 7D already had a bunch of lcd/af features.

I see the price just right.

I also see this thing selling a crap ton. Seriously... what 5D3 owner wouldn't want to add one... it's the same darn camera.

Every entry level sport/wildlife guy will have one too.

Uh Ohhh... i like Tony and his reviews. However, this one really struck me how he made such a rudimentary error when it comes to technical knowledge. At 27:10 into the review where he compares to 5D mark 3. Cropped to 1.6 = 8.6 megapixels... not 14mp. My correction below.

No AF @ f8, according to Tony.. Is this accurate

One of the things in Tony's video that he didn't like about the 7DII is the image quality. I assume that the IQ of the 7DII is going to be about the same as the 7D?

I've seen two videos where a Canon rep has said AF at f8.

Tony corrected later in the broadcast. AF at f8 will work.

I did correct Tony right at the end of his video, I have seen 2 videos in the UK one on the WEX site and the other on Park cameras and both confirm auto focus available at F8 on the centre focus point.

Haven't looked at most of the links yet, for reviews. But, looking at the specs on Canon's site, I don't see MFA. Is MFA included? I know a lot of people don't MFA with their lenses, but I seem to have bad luck with body/lens combinations. I've got one that's MFA's +12 and another that's something like -18, on my 7D.

MA is included in the specs, it does not say if this includes cal values for wide and tele on zooms like the 6D et al but it probably does.

I'd find it hard to believe that Canon would take away MFA, but I understand your concern in wanting to find this out.

adoroma has the new 7d-2 up on there sight for $1,799.95,dam thats alot of money ! but the specks good,who the hell needs GPS any way as big brother no's just where we are at any given time!i don't no if i'll be trading in my 7d as yet though unless i get rid of some other stuff 1st,hopefully canon will lower there price by then!but i like this camera.

50D had it, 60D did not. Anything's possible.

I would love to be able to adjust for both ends of a zoom.
