It was the embedded jpeg. This experiment demonstrates nothing more than the power of human imagination.

If one can push a jpeg and get decent results, wouldn't it be reasonable to expect that a raw would do better? In any case, as soon as I can get software that will read the 7D II raw format, I'll repeat this with the same file and see what happens.

Interesting question: is the jpeg of better quality? Good question!!

Ok, another attempt. This time I opened the raw in Raw Therapee, pushed it 4 stops and saved it as a jpeg and cropped it. It seems to me that I was working with the raw file as it has much more detail and clarity in its saved form. In any case this is what it looks like.

all this means is that we need updated canon software and/or adobe software with raw files shot at the end of the ISO range and badly taken so pixel peepers can see if the DR is any good or not.

Dear Reservoir Dog,

It's with all our three ears that we have listen your proposal.
After a long meeting with Canon CEO, Canon decided to put the button "Pizza" on the next body generation, but we are facing a big problem, which pizza do you think it will be better to do ?
- 4 cheese pizza
- Romana
- Margharita
- Peperoni

Waiting for your advice
Best Regards

Why should the photos be badly taken? You don't believe the existence of scenes with high dynamic range?

Hope this camera can match or even surpass 1DX AF speed in AI servo for moving subject, if so then i may think about this camera as either a main or backup camera for sports.

Or i will wait until that miracle happen and those rumours talk about 1DsX or 1DXs can be true with 46mp and hope 12-14fps then my 1DX will be a history and maybe even my Sony A7R.

I don't think so as the voltage is lower on the 7dmkII so it cant drive the servos as quick as a 1dx.

The voltage of the battery doesn't matter. A camera body can step up the voltage if that's what it takes to get the lenses to focus faster.

Except I'm sure in Canon's books that's a premium flagship 1-series feature, just like bounce cards are only on their top flashes like 580EX and up :P

On your product webpage for Canon EOS 7D Mark II, it mentions "Built-in Wifi". This is incorrect. This camera does not have that feature. Please remove that from your webpage.

Thanks,
