More info | Me too. I'd like a bit more info on the sensor. With the information I've seen, it looks like a minor evolution rather than a game changer that a lot of folks had in mind. My 40D, while still going strong, is in need of a younger sibling. I expect it will be the 7D2. So the specs will determine timing rather than yes/no. I'm not a videographer. So that stuff means nothing to me. I'm also not a megapixel counter. It's encouraging that the press release did have a lot of emphasis on still photography. Joe

The Nikon and Pentax (K-3) top ASP-C's are 24 and change and both these companies use the highly regarded Sony Exmor sensor.

I think it's more than just the. DR of 14ev+ at low ISO, no need for an AA filter for increased sharpness, those are wanted as well. Not sure why, but call me JJ.
