Luna is not just for practice. Many of us here enjoy your photos of that incredible looking little dog. I look forward to her "grown up" images.

I have been so depressed since that. I don't get chances like this very often unless I travel. We drove all around the Brockville area sight seeing. At the end of the day we wind up in Merricktown and this critter is flying around the creek and bridge landing 25 feet away from us. I could have spent all day there. I was hurried and missed some good BIF chances. 5 non photographers with me, they had long day and wanted to head back. Wife and I drove back the next day but it poured the entire time.

We are going back next fall and I'm taking a few extra days just for this. Hopefully it and/or offspring are around. Actually this the first time I'm looking forward to visiting the outlaws :-) ;-)a

It would be worth a return visit. It's hard to do good photography with hangers-on. Where is Merricktown??

Finally found my way back to the bird rookery. Got this tricolor to pose for me on the boardwalk railing this morning.

Take care everyone..

It is actually Merrickville. Sorry about that. About 40 minutes Southwest of Ottawa. Beautiful little town. That whole area is.

I was curious, because I might be in the Ottawa area a couple of times next year, and always looking for tips for good birding spots.

NP. My wife' sister lives in that area so they both know it well. The Algonquin area known the 1000 Islands is awesome. You can take a boat tour. There were many birds on islands but again a very rainy day. Just ask before you leave. We found a great place to stay in Prescott and there is a great pub a stones throw away. They found to original doctors bag and it was on the floor in the living room.
