I'd love to experience that feeling.... "he" looks pretty healthy,
I imagine he could do some harm if his mood changed ?

Well this one is kinda tiny Ned, She was much fun in the mornings. Like a dog happy to see you. Honestly I would go out and stand among 6 or 8 deer at very close quarters. Mostly the agitated Deer run off and only those that feel comfortable hang around. I mean there is no stopping them from bouncing out of the yard. I have never felt unsafe or threatened. Just amazed
Most only see Deer flag or tail down and calm. They do wag side to side like a dog when happy.

I've heard talk about people who cast an aura perceptible to animals.
I'd love to have a friend like that, 2 or 4 footed, The world needs more of this !
Burn this well into your memory my friend so that it will carry you through the days the sun doesn't shine as brightly !

I guess no scale made me think she is bigger than I thought, what a little beauty. I'd love to rub her behind the ears !

Jeff,

Another great pine marten photograph.... the expression on his/her face is great. I have no idea what pine martens think, but the face indicates intelligence and curiosity, at least to me.

I agree with Kim and I love the light (very complimentary).

Thanks You Guy's, These guys strut around growling and carrying on in a start stop motion. tough to get a motionless shot. But sometimes you catch them looking.

Ned... Little story.. There once was this little dude we called the gardener because he loved Roses. He demonstrates a little of what we are talking about here. now I cut the audio out because you don't need to hear me nagging him to leave my roses alone. The second is him the year after


The third image is him I believe last week coming to checkout who the wolves had taken down.

I was initially amused to see green coming out both ends of this Osprey but then got a bit worried that it could be serious sickness. Very relieved to see him and his partner two days later.

When we lived in PA, we planted several hundred bulb plants... crocuses, daffodils, etc. ...all mixed in with the lawn at the front of our property. The first year, they looked spectacular.... for about a day. The deer loved them.... and what was left, the rabbits enjoyed. They all died out eventually, eaten down to the ground.

And it took quite a while to plant all those bulbs, even using a 1/2" Milwaukee drill and huge auger bit. You can't win against mother nature. I wasn't a photographer back then or I'd have some great photos of them enjoying the fruits of our labor.
