Jack honestly this winter not much time at all, 1/10 of a normal winter. Most everything I have posted of the birds and deer beavers squirrels, come from right at my house. I do not hide most of the time. I just go hang out. And yes there are some very good photog's in these pages.

When we lived in PA, we planted several hundred bulb plants... crocuses, daffodils, etc. ...all mixed in with the lawn at the front of our property. The first year, they looked spectacular.... for about a day. The deer loved them.... and what was left, the rabbits enjoyed. They all died out eventually, eaten down to the ground.

And it took quite a while to plant all those bulbs, even using a 1/2" Milwaukee drill and huge auger bit. You can't win against mother nature. I wasn't a photographer back then or I'd have some great photos of them enjoying the fruits of our labor.

I need to do more video Kim, one day I will not have all these critters at my finger tips. Lots of experiance's over the 30 years I've lived on this land.

Ned... Little story.. There once was this little dude we called the gardener because he loved Roses. He demonstrates a little of what we are talking about here. now I cut the audio out because you don't need to hear me nagging him to leave my roses alone. The second is him the year after

The third image is him I believe last week coming to checkout who the wolves had taken down.

How much you figure he weighs in #3 ? He looks heavy in the rump.... No rack this year ?

Thats a good question Ned, never been good at that one. He is much bigger than the Doe's. All the bucks here have no rack right now as they loose them in January/February but he'll start growing again soon. He still sneaks in around here once in a while. but he's not as calm as he once was, thats for sure.

Thanks James. That shot was taken at the Alliance Fort Worth show last fall. I did the sunrise photo tour and managed to get a few good shots. The next event at Cavanaugh on my calendar is Addison Day on April 22. Its a free event to celebrate 25 years in Addison. I haven't seen anything on their usual spring event yet. Anyway, I'll be at the museum on April 22nd, hope to see you there.

Couple more from last year. The first is sunrise shot of an F/A-18 at Alliance Fort Worth and the second is a T-6 Texan resting in the hanger at Cavanuagh Flight Museum, Addison Texas.

Two from this morning at the Alligator Farm. They look so lonely. Can get in at 8:00 am now with a photo pass.

I received my new 7d ii yesterday and have a question. The wifi adapter w-e1 was not in the package but the contents list on the box and the camera manual say it is an included item. I've gone to the Canon site as well as B&H and Adorama and none of them show the wifi adapter as an included item. I have a vague recollection that Canon was going to begin bundling these adapters with the 7d ii in November 2016 but I can't seem to find a solid reference that says that. I'm going to email Canon but thought I'd ask here first. Can anyone shed any light on this?

Edit: I did locate this Canon press release which implies the card comes with the body only, but does not directly say so! Very confusing. Did anyone here have one bundled with a body only configuration?

I'm jealous of all these beautiful bird photos. I was 'stuck' inside a dark gym all day yesterday at the Arnold Classic in Columbus, OH with my daughter (she's worth every minute of it).
